Meet the Author

Hello there, my dearly beloveds! As this website suggests, you're in the presence of one by the name of Jamie Lee Austin, and she welcomes you with a raised goblet of the finest wine this kingdom has to offer. (Okay, enough of speaking in third person.)

First and foremost, I am a proud believer of
Jesus Christ--I owe all of my creative ideas
to the greatest Creator there is. To Him be
the glory and honor forever and ever. Amen.

Now, then, shall I apprise you of some of my personal backstory?
I grew up in Monroe, North Carolina with my parents and the greatest
twin sister of all times. Together, my sister and I had many grand
adventures in the confines of a small room or out in our front yard.
But thanks to the limitless power of imagination, we couldn't have
been farther from home. Some onlookers would think we were
incredibly inventive... while others thought we were completely insane, because we would be out there all the time... in our own little worlds... completely oblivious to everyone and everything around us. Nothing mattered except the stories we were living and the characters we were role-playing as, and so I also owe a great deal of my love for storytelling to my sister, Jordan--my partner in crime.
(Thanks, Payway!)

More about me... hmm... where do I start?
I've possessed a love for reading and writing epic stories for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was young (I'm talking elementary days), I would take composition notebooks and create my own 'New York Times bestselling novels.' I'd scrawl out a summary blurb on the back, add in a table of contents, include a dedication page, design the cover art, and fill the rest of those blank pages with the wildest imaginings one could dare to conjure. I'd stuff my own shelves with these 'books,' wholeheartedly believing that they were stocking the shelves of local libraries and bookstores across the world!

As I grew older, I developed an intense passion for helping others, especially regarding suicidal tendencies. Thus, I believed for a while I was meant for the psychology field. But throughout my first year of college, I still desperately clung to my dream of writing. Except, I knew I couldn't pursue both paths--not full-time, that is. Ohh, if only there was a way to combine the two! And then, going into my second year, I finally discovered how I could write and help people at the same time--I could create life-changing, encouraging stories that give people strength during affliction, hope in times of darkness, and a reason to live even when they want to give up. Not only that, but I wanted to provide people with a worthwhile form of escape from their day-to-day, stressful lives. Because, let's face it, real life is hard, and it can be tedious at times (if not most of the time). And rather than scrolling on social media or flipping through TV channels looking for entertainment, I want to give people the chance to immerse themselves in mysterious, fantasy worlds, engaging in legendary battles, uncovering traitorous plots, clashing with heinous enemies, discovering deadly secrets, and--!... You get the point.

Which brings me to my next question for you.
Have you ever read a super stunning, out-of-this-world book that left you in a dazed shock for hours? Days? Maybe even weeks? (Don't make me say months! Or, heaven help us--years!) A story that gripped your soul and changed your entire outlook of the world? One that led you outside, across the road, and into a nearby field to contemplate life? Those are the types of books I dream of writing for people like you. I want to write the unforgettable. I want to ultimately leave all of my readers with a story that will enhance their own lives and give them something to ramble passionately about at the dinner table with family, recommend out on the town with friends, or treasure up in their hearts when they get into bed at night. Yes, I'm talking about you. You're the one I'm thinking about when I sit down to write, because you're worth it. And if I can enrich your life even by a mere sliver, then I've done my part.

I am also a professional daydreamer with years of experience behind my name (I have school to thank for that), as well as an avid lover of nature.
(Oh, and I should probably mention that I graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in creative writing and a 4.0 grade average... Yeah,
I guess that seems kind of important to add.)

Ahem, well then, enough about me--I want to hear about you! Head on over to the 'Contact' page and tell me a little about yourself! (Or a lot--I'd take a lot about you too). Or follow me on any of my social media platforms!
And don't forget to check out one of my books that were written just for you! (But seeming as I'm still in the work-in-progress for my books at the moment, the best thing you can do is join that legendary mailing list! ((It's the big bottom at the top right of the page.)) That way, I can let you know when the publishing dates are!)

God bless! :)
